STAT 20: Introduction to Probability and Statistics

Before the Quiz

1. Take a photo of your cheat sheet now (if you want to - I won’t be returning them)
2. Max 4 people per table (spread out!)
3. Don’t hide your face! Remove hats/hoodies/sunglasses/etc
4. Put ALL electronics away until you leave the classroom

Instructors: 1. Have this slide on the screen as students file in 1. As they are filing in, help them spread out (to minimize temptation to cheat) - For example, I (Everett) in Blum tell students “no more than 6 per table” (or whatever maximum is required for the number of tables) - Tell your tutors this too, they can help! 1. Before you start, read the bullets on this slide (e.g., “last chance to take a photo of your cheat sheet!”) 1. Move to the next slide before you hand out quizzes

Individual Quiz

• Do not begin. Wait until we tell everyone to start.
• If you finish early, cover it with your cheat sheet and sit quietly.
• If you urgently need to use the bathroom, bring your quiz+phone to me. Only if urgent - class is short and this makes noise that disrupts.

• You must stop writing when time is called or risk a 0.
• ❗👀 Keep your eyes on your own quiz.

Group Quiz

• Form groups of 2-3 people, then ONE person raise your hand (to get your quiz).
• If you find yourself without a group, come to the front of class and we’ll help you form one.
• Be sure to write ALL group members names on the quiz.

• You can start when you get your quiz
• ⌛When done, bring your quiz and everyone’s cheat sheets to a tutor or me. Then please leave the room quietly.
